Messaging and Communication Area User Guide

The Messages section allows for direct and group correspondence among members.

Starting a Conversation

There are two ways: the Message button on a member's profile, or searching and selecting a member with the + icon on the Messages page.

Features

• Text, image, video, and file sending (25 MB per file)
• Unread message counter appears in the top bar and bottom menu
• New messages arrive automatically while the page is open; no need to refresh
• On computers, Enter sends, Shift+Enter moves to a new line
• Search past conversations with the chat search box

Notifications

You will receive in-app notifications when a new message arrives. If you have enabled push notifications, they will arrive on your device even when the platform is closed. You can turn them off in the Settings → Notifications section.

Etiquette

• Do not send mass promotional messages; this is considered spam.
• Discuss topics belonging to a group within the group so that information remains public.
• If you receive disturbing messages, report the content.
