SANATLA Short Film Workshop

The SANATLA Short Film Workshop was held between June 2-7, 2026, within the scope of the 29th Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival.

The workshop was designed not as a technical cinema education in the classical sense, but as a collective learning space aiming for participants to think about films within the festival atmosphere, to be included in the transfer of experiences regarding cinema production processes, and to establish direct contact with filmmakers.

Interviews

Throughout the week, participants met for interviews with Dilde Mahalli, Özlem Çıngırlar, Bingöl Elmas, and Elit İşcan.

Film Review Sessions

Within the program, film review sessions were held, moderated by Esra Kars, Emre Eminoğlu, and Tuba Büdüş.

Screened Selections

Participants watched the Skiff / Kürek Teknesi, Between Dreams and Hope / Düşler ve Umutlar Arasında, and the National and International Short Film selections, and participated in joint review sessions.

Conclusion

The workshop, focused on experience sharing, production, and solidarity, concluded with review sessions and the festival closing, while strengthening participants' knowledge and experiences regarding short film production through interviews, film screenings, and panels.
