Privacy and Terms of Use

This text explains the privacy policy and terms of use applicable when using the Local Culture Network platform. By using the platform, you accept these terms.

1. Data Controller

The data controller is the Uçan Süpürge Foundation. Contact: [email protected]. (Commercial title, address, and registration details will be completed by the foundation.)

2. What Data Do We Process?

• Account Information: name, username, email address, password (stored in irreversibly encrypted form)
• Profile Information: title, institution, city, biography, photo, all optional
• Content: posts, comments, messages, uploaded files
• Technical Data: IP address (short-term, as a measure against misuse), browser information, last activity time

3. What Do We Use the Data For?

To manage your account, publish your content, send notifications, prevent misuse, and improve the platform. Your data will not be used for advertising purposes and will not be sold to third parties.

4. Visibility

Your profile is public by default. You can make your profile visible only to members or private from Settings → Privacy. Private messages are only visible to chat participants.

5. Cookies

The platform only uses functional cookies: session cookie (when you log in), theme preference, and interface preferences. No third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels are used.

6. Notifications

Push notifications are only activated with your explicit consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time from browser settings or from Settings → Notifications.

7. Your Rights

Under KVKK and GDPR; you have the rights to access, rectify, erase, object to the processing of your data, and request a copy of your data. For your requests, you can write to [email protected].

8. Retention Period

Your data is stored as long as your account remains open. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, and messages will be permanently deleted. Technical logs are kept for a maximum of 60 days.

9. Terms of Use

• Hate speech, discrimination, harassment, and incitement to violence are prohibited.
• You cannot share another person's personal data without permission.
• You cannot upload content that you do not own the copyright to without permission.
• You cannot send advertisements and mass promotional messages.
• You cannot attempt to disrupt the technical functioning of the platform.

In case of violation of the rules, content may be removed, or accounts may be suspended or closed.

10. Changes

This text may be updated. Significant changes will be announced on the platform.
