SANATLA is a youth and civil society project financed by the European Union, which uses art and culture as a tool for strengthening gender equality. The project is implemented by the Uçan Süpürge Foundation.

Local Culture Network

The Local Culture Network (LCN) is the permanent output of the project. It brings together young people, women artists, cultural producers, and civil society organizations from Turkey and Greece in a single digital environment. The network exists through the content produced by its members; there is no central editorial board.

What do we do?

• Local culture mapping, an open-access record of who produces what, where
• Art and advocacy workshops, film, photography, music, and writing
• Youth round table meetings, young people, NGOs, and local administrators at the same table
• Digital training modules, free, online, certified
• This platform, the network infrastructure that holds all production together

What is on this platform?

Feed, member directory, working groups, discussion forum, knowledge center, articles, event calendar, polls, and inter-member messaging. The platform works like an app on the phone (can be added to the home screen) and can send instant notifications.

Participation

Membership is free and open to everyone. No art experience or institutional affiliation is required. You can become part of the network by registering.

This platform is financed by the European Union. The content is the sole responsibility of the Uçan Süpürge Foundation and does not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union.
