Film, Photography and Music Workshops: Youth Perspective

The workshops, carried out in three separate mediums, opened up space for young people to tell their own stories with their own aesthetics.

Film Workshop

All stages, from scriptwriting to editing, were carried out by the participants. The resulting short films are between 3-8 minutes long; all were shot on phones.

Photography Workshop

The focus was on serial production rather than a single frame: telling a story in 5-8 frames. Participants chose their own neighbourhoods as their workspace.

Music Workshop

It was based on songwriting and simple recording techniques. Works that combined local melodies with contemporary lyrics stood out.

Common Observation

In all three workshops, the stage where young people struggled the most was not technical, but deciding what they wanted to say. This was, in fact, the main subject of the workshops.
