What is the Local Culture Network (LCN) and Who is it For?

The Local Culture Network (LCN) is the permanent output of the SANATLA project: a community infrastructure that continues to live even after the project ends. In short, it is the platform itself.

What does the Network do?

People working at the local level often do similar things without being aware of each other. The Network offers three things to eliminate this fragmentation: visibility (who is doing what, where), connection (direct messaging and groups), and collective memory (workshop outputs, guides, recordings).

Who can join?

• Individuals producing in the field of art and culture, artists, artisans, writers, filmmakers
• Non-governmental organizations working in the field of gender equality
• Youth organizations, student clubs, and cooperatives
• Culture departments of local governments
• Anyone interested in the subject, membership is free

Principles of the Network's operation

Participation is voluntary and reciprocal. The Network exists with the content produced by its members; there is no central editorial board. Hate speech, discrimination, and promotional posts are removed by moderation. Everything else, discussion, criticism, different opinions, is a natural part of the network.
