Local Culture Mapping: Project Outputs

The mapping study was conducted to create a systematic answer to the question "who produces what here".

What was collected?

• Individual producers, artists, artisans, writers, musicians
• Collectives and cooperatives
• Independent cultural venues
• Institutional actors, municipal cultural departments, museums
• Regular events, festivals, markets, workshop series

Method

Data was collected through field visits, open source research, and member submissions. Each record was based on at least one verifiable source. Personal data was published only with the consent of the individual concerned.

Findings

Production was widespread but disconnected, as expected: it was common for two collectives doing similar work in the same district to be unaware of each other. The most immediate impact of the mapping was to facilitate these introductions.

Sustainability

The map is not a static output; it continues to live as the network's member directory. To update your record, simply edit your profile.
