Rights-Based Art and Culture Methodology Training for Advocacy
The first training of the capacity building series. Two days were spent in Izmir with 30 NGO representatives from 11 provinces, with Dr. Nida Anıl Kazanç as the trainer.
As part of the Capacity Building Activities, a two-day Rights-Based Art and Culture Methodology Training for Advocacy was held on September 7-8, 2024, at Kaya Prestige Hotel in Izmir. There were 30 participants, including representatives of non-governmental organizations from 11 project provinces, the project team, and project partners.

First day
The historical process of the concept of art was evaluated in terms of individuals and society. The transformative, educational, and unifying role of art was discussed, and the role of art based on rights for advocacy was addressed.
Second day
The historical process of the concept of culture, its connection with society, and its importance in terms of rights advocacy were explored. The day concluded with an original design workshop on rights-based advocacy using art and culture methodology.

Outcome
The training aimed to strengthen the skills of non-governmental organizations in effectively using art and culture as a tool for advocacy and to integrate art and culture into their advocacy strategies.
