SANATLA Project Opening Meeting
The first event of the project. A two-day opening meeting was held in Ankara with all project partners, participating universities, and representatives from the European Union Delegation to Turkey.
Our first event within the scope of Stakeholder Engagement and Sustainability Activities, the Opening Meeting, took place on March 27-28, 2024, at Demora Hotel in Ankara.

First day
The agenda was the project setup: resolving budget and management issues, forming the project team, and signing the commitment protocol for the continuation of activities among partners.
In her opening speech, Levnjak linked the European Union Delegation to Turkey's partnership with the Uçan Süpürge Foundation to the foundation's work as an organization that operates based on rights and carries out cultural and artistic activities. She shared her expectations for the project to be carried out with young people in Turkey with the words, "youth are the voice of today as well as our future.".
Second day
The second day was dedicated to youth. Priority agendas of young people were discussed with the participation of GoFor, Youth Services Center (GSM), Başkent Youth Assembly, and youth rights advocates from METU and Bilkent University. The relationship of the issues brought to the agenda with gender equality and experiences regarding the activities to be carried out within the project were shared, and suggestions were discussed.
